March is almost here, and the 30A coast is ready for it. With spring temperatures settling in, the beaches clearing up just enough to breathe, and a packed calendar of local events, this coming March is one of the better months to be in South Walton.
Whether you live along Scenic Highway 30A year-round or you’re planning a spring trip, here’s everything worth circling on your calendar.
Mark Your March 7: Rhythm on the Range Is Back
Kick off the month with one of 30A’s most anticipated live music nights. Rhythm on the Range returns to the Camp Creek Driving Range on Saturday, March 7, 2026, featuring award-winning country artist Russell Dickerson performing live under the Florida sky.

Art, Music, and Good Vibes: Grayton Beach Spring Art Fest
The second weekend of March brings one of the most laid-back and genuinely fun community events of the season. The Grayton Beach Spring Art Fest takes over Shacks Art Grayton Beach on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT.
Here’s what to expect:
-
20+ artists set up outside with original work spanning paintings, photography, sculpture, and handcrafted goods
-
60+ artists displayed inside the gallery
-
Kids’ crafts area to keep the whole family busy
-
Live music, food, and drinks throughout the day
-
Location: Shacks Art Grayton Beach, 14 Clayton Lane, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459

This one is easy to walk around at your own pace and genuinely worth a few hours. Grab a drink, meet the artists, and pick up something you’ll actually want to hang on your wall.
Go Green (and We Mean It): St. Patrick’s Day on 30A
March 17 is one of the liveliest days along the entire 30A coast. The area has a strong tradition of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations spread across multiple towns and venues, with something on for every crowd.
Here’s what to look for on St. Paddy’s week:
-
Day party featuring live DJ sets, Irish-inspired bites, cocktails from 30A Distilling Co., a bagpipe performance at 3 p.m., face painting, and a bounce house. Tickets typically start at $60, with kids under 12 free
-
Free family scavenger hunt at The Big Chill, where kids and parents hunt for lucky surprises around the shops. Usually held on March 17, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with prizes included and no registration required
-
Free evening celebration at The Village of Baytowne Wharf, featuring Irish dance performances and live music, typically running from 6 to 9 p.m.
Confirm individual venue times and ticket details closer to March 17, as 2026 lineups are still being finalized across locations.
Spring Break Week on 30A: Baytowne Wharf Has You Covered
If you’re bringing the family down for spring break, The Village of Baytowne Wharf runs a full week of Spring Break Programming from March 22 through 28, 2026. Think live music, kids’ activities, family entertainment, and nonstop programming all in one spot. It is a solid home base for families who want structure without having to plan everything themselves.
Shop Local Every Week: Farmers’ Markets Running All March
Two of 30A’s most consistent community spots run throughout the entire month. Both are free to attend and are a good way to support local vendors.

-
Hours: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Third Thursdays: The Grayton Beach Wine Walk
Every third Thursday of the month, the Grayton Beach Wine Walk runs from 5 to 7 p.m., starting at Shacks Art in Grayton Beach. In March, that falls on a Thursday, March 19. The route takes you through six local merchants with wine and hors d’oeuvres at each stop.
The evening wraps up back at Shacks’ deck with dessert, more wine, and live music, followed by a Dancing Raffle at 7 p.m. with prizes from local artists, shops, and businesses.
An easy, enjoyable Thursday that doubles as a small business tour.
Start Planning Now for a Big April
If March gets you hooked, April brings even more to the table. The South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival runs from April 23 to 26, 2026, at Grand Boulevard Town Center, featuring celebrity winemakers, mixologists, and chefs pouring over 600 wines. Early planning means better access to tickets and accommodation along the coast.
March on 30A moves fast. Don’t let the month pass without catching at least one of these events in person.
